Cresta specialises in the provision and management of Testing and Test Strategies. Our approach is based around Structured System Testing Methodology (SSTM), a framework developed by our experienced testers and software consultants. Encapsulated in our suite of TestStrategist applications SSTM provides the processes, tools and techniques required to effectively manage and execute testing across the development lifecycle. SSTM ensures complete coverage of all the required testing activities, regardless of the size of the project or the type of testing. In addition to its methodology, SSTM is further strengthened by codifying several hundred consultancy engagements and industry best practices. These resources are therefore available to clients across the widespread testing areas where Cresta is deployed.
At the core of SSTM is an emphasis is on unity, consistency, continuity, and return on investment. This can be further strengthened through the implementation of an Enterprise-Wide Testing Strategy (EWTS). The EWTS
| ensures a consistent test strategy across all projects | |
| avoids the duplication of test effort | |
| improves quality | |
| increases the benefit of experience between projects thereby increasing the return on testing investment | |
| encompasses the body of knowledge relevant to testing in any given organisation, and is therefore the subject of continuous review and improvement |
